Zeena  is a gorgeous girl who is eager to please and has tons of love to give! She was found by her foster mom wandering the streets in pretty rough shape. Since she is so much happier and healthier now, she's so excited about life! 



Zeena  does have a high prey drive and doesn't always do well with small dogs or cats (and is very interested in squirrels/rabbits/etc.). She does have the ability to climb fences (though privacy fences are harder to climb), and has managed to escape her collar/tether multiple times.  Zeena  will need to be tethered/leashed/fenced WITH supervision because she has the tendancy to chase after things. 



Zeena  is very playful and energetic and would make a good walking/jogging buddy, but needs leash training. She does well with SOME other dogs (she tends to be selective) and really loves to play with them when she finds a dog she can get along well with. I'm not completely sure, but it seems like she does better with male dogs. Because she loves playing so much, she can be vocal, which may sound scary, but it's just her way of being excited! If  Zeena  is introduced to other dogs, it'll need to be done very slowly. Because she is so selective, it may be best for her to be the only animal in the home. 



Zeena  is crate trained, and knows a few basic commands (sit, recall-her name, wait and stay). Since she's so eager to make her humans happy, given time/patience and some dedicated training, I'm confident that she can learn more! This sweet girl developed some allergies and we have been feeding her Nutro (a limited ingredient diet) which seems to have helped. A 22lb. bag of Nutro is around $50 (should last about a month and a half). She also has some incontinence issues. She does go potty outside, but tends to have accidents inside as well. We've tried several medications for this and she has seen a specialist, but we can't quite pin point the problem. For now, she gets frequent outdoor potty breaks and wears a diaper indoors. Simple solutions diapers are about $11 per 12 pack of diapers (we use roughly a pack per 2-3 weeks, but this may vary depending on how long she's kenneled, how many potty breaks she gets, etc.)



Zeena  is great with the kids in her foster home (ages 6 and 11) but can be a bit clumsy (and bumps into them-could potentially knock over smaller kids). She also tends to be a jumper when she is excited.  Zeena  loves to give the kids kisses! I don't let the kids play toys with  Zeena  as she has shown a bit of gaurding behavior when the kids try to get toys from her.



This spitfire of a pup adores a good game of fetch and thoroughly enjoys a few rounds of tug-o-war! She gives the best face kisses you could imagine and absolutely loves to snuggle up into some blankets by her humans after she's been good and tuckered out! 



Zeena  seems to appear larger than she actually is in photos! She's on the smaller side of "medium" and weights just about 35 pounds. 



Zeena  is an incredible girl and will make an amazing companion! Like all of us humans, she's a bit rough around the edges and maybe a little misunderstood. She needs someone who is willing to put in the time and work and be dedicated to her, and in return, she'll give so much love back to you!
