Sheba is a happy, cute bull dog, hound mix, about 2-3 years old, medium size, 55lbs, has a mostly black brindle low shed coat. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. Sheba is a classic, well behaved and sweet dog, without bad habits. She's house broken, crate trained, doesn't chew stuff, doesn't climb fences or escape...This pretty girl is fun to teach and train because she listens well; she has perfect energy! Her leash manners are good. Typical for her breed, Sheba has a very strong 'prey drive' which is a trait that can be controlled and redirected because she bonds so well with her human. Her sense of smell is amazing! Sheba may have a future career at the Charlotte airport sniffing out illegals or German sausage! Sheba has to be the only dog in the household: she is not good with cats, small dogs or even some dogs her size although she plays well with foster buddy, JP. With visiting dogs or the neighbors' dogs she needs to be kept apart for now. But she is not people selective! She is a little shy to new people but very friendly regardless. She most likely was abused and mistreated, but has opened up and is so grateful for her second chance; she loves to give away free doggie kisses. Sheba is a perfect travel companion; she looks at the car every time ready to go, even just to run errands. Then she makes a pretty 'date' on a patio sharing treats like cheese and crackers and loving attention!
Sheba would like to be adopted by a responsible person or couple, someone who can continue to lead and train her and who has time and patience to continue doting on her, takes her for regular walks and who can make her a priority and part of his or her life for good! Sheba doesn't ask for much and will give so much more in return. She is great company and will make a true loving friend!
