MENDORA the Horse needs a home
MENDORA IS A HANDSOME ARABIAN GELDING WHO WAS RESCUED WITH NUMEROUS OTHER EQUINES WHO WERE ALL UNDERWEIGHT AND NOT BEING PROPERLY CARED FOR. HE WAS A STALLION WHEN HE ARRIVED AT LONGMEADOW, AND HAD VERY LITTLE HANDLING PRIOR TO ARRIVING AT THE RANCH. HE IS NOW LIVING LIFE HAPPILY AS A GELDING AND AFTER MONTHS OF REHABILITATION AND SOCIALIZATION, IS READY TO FIND A HOME.
MENDORA IS LEARNING GROUND MANNERS AND IS WORKING ON BUILDING HIS CONFIDENCE. HE IS RESPONSIVE AND EAGER TO LEARN, SO HE WOULD DO BEST WITH A CONFIDENT HANDLER WHO CAN PROVIDE HIM WITH CONSISTENT TRAINING. MENDORA DOESN''T APPEAR TO HAVE PREVIOUS TRAINING FOR RIDING, SO WE ARE REQUIRING THAT HE HAVE 60 DAYS OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING EITHER IN LONGMEADOW''S TRAINING PROGRAM OR WITH A PROFESSIONAL TRAINER.
Update Nov. 2017: Mendora has spent most of his time in the groundwork training program. He was very fearful and required a lot of desenitization training. Mendora is a different horse. He had wonderful ground manners and much more confident. He is cute as a bug, very smart and willing to learn. At this point, he requires further training for riding but he''s over the hardest part and will progress quickly.
