Louie the Dog needs a home
Louie is a Chihuahua mix, possibly a mix of Chi and Pomeranian and he is approximately 3 years old. Louie is a typical small dog and his attitude is much larger than he is. Louie came to us from Luzerne County SPCA and was an owner surrender because they were moving. Louie came to us November 6th and spent his first few weeks distressing while we learned more about his personality. He is full of energy and can run super fast and and jumps skipping stairs all the time...In the back yard he is a running machine. Louie takes some time to warm up to people and seems to cower a little when approached. He can be a bit over protective of his toys but I have seen him let his guard down over the past few weeks and is gaining more trust in me and my husband. Louie is totally integrated with my resident dogs now, I have a mix of two large dogs and two small dogs. Louie tends to get over excited and gets the zoomies from time to time, we are working on his manners and reinforcing his potty training. Louie is as cute as can be and I believe he will make a wonderful loving pet to the right family. I would recommend no cats at this time, I have several here and he gets overly stimulated when he sees them, I don't believe his intention is to hurt them and maybe he would be ok in a home with less cat activity as we house several foster cats here. Louie is neutered and current on his shots. He is scheduled to have surgery to correct cherry eye shortly.
