Adopt a Dachshund (long coat)
Piper3 the Dog needs a home
Please email me with any questions you may have about this sweet girl looking for her forever home at [email protected].
Hi! I'm Piper, a very sweet and happy, beautiful 10year old female long-haired dachshund. I weigh about 13 pounds. I was surrendered because I am not child friendly so my family decided that finding another loving home would be best for me...so here I am. After two days at my new foster home, I settled in like I had always lived there!
Even though I'm 10, I have many years left to live! Don't be fooled by my age because I don't look like a senior. I mean, I don't have much grey hair and I'm fast as lightning when I want to be. Speaking of hair, mine is long and silky soft. I love to follow foster mom around everywhere. I love lots of napping, walks around the neighborhood and belly rubs! I am friendly when meeting new people. I was an "only dog" and lived with the same family since I was a puppy. My foster mom has a senior dog that doesn't bother me and I'm fine with him, but being an only dog is fine with me too.
I'm housebroken if you take me out regularly. I am a very good girl. My foster mom said I am a well behaved dog. Actually, I'm a perfect little girl with a couple of quirky habits. One of them is that I have to dump my food on the floor before I eat it. I'm a professional at tipping the bowl over...LOL.
I sleep all night in a crate, but if you leave me free to sleep where I want I will sleep in my doggie bed without making a sound. I am a very happy girl and love lots of attention. But I can be an independent lady too. If you want a great companion, Piper might be the perfect fur baby for you!

Transportation Help If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
