Hi there! My name is Penny and I am an 18 month old Doberman Pinscher terrier mix. I came to TCPR all the way from Texas, where I was found as a stray. I am a little bundle of energy. My foster parents tell me I’m a perfect size, and that my limited shedding is a plus.

I love being around my humans. I am happiest when I’m getting a belly rub, playing fetch, or chewing on a bone. I am crate and house trained and know helpful commands such as sit and stay.

My ideal home would have active people or a family that would be willing to play with me. I would LOVE to have a dog companion, but they would have to be up for my energy level and playfulness. Since I’m young and high-energy, my forever home should be willing to tire me out on long walks, or maybe by playing fetch in the yard. I'd do best in a home that is willing to focus on training and obedience. I am in class now and my foster mom says I’m learning quickly, but still have some manners to master, such as not jumping on people. I’m really fun and smart, and would surely bring a new level of love and energy to your home.

I get really excited when I see other dogs and am always down to play, but sometimes I'm lacking in manners. I'll need proper introductions with other dogs to set me up for success. I've been told I probably like cats more than they like me.

I probably shouldn't live with other female dogs. Thanks for checking me out!
