Khalid is a really really sweet, gentle boy. He has that adorable squishy pitbull face and is definitely a love bug-- He LOVES being near people, and is definitely comforted by people's presence and would be a great snuggle buddy. He gets a little anxious when he's left alone but is settling down easier and quicker each time. He has been getting along great with his resident sister, who is about the same age and size as him. He loves loves to play with her though he's a little bit of a clumsy player- he just has a big floppy body and doesn't always know what to do with it. :) For this reason, he would do best with dogs his own size or bigger.
The home environment seems to be new experience for Khalid
-- He's been encountering LOTS of new and strange things and is a pretty timid guy-- he's a little bit fearful at first but willing to try new things with encouragement! He doesn't fight us with new things but readily goes along with what we want him to do. He's also got a lot of strong muscle, so a chest harness is what we have been using instead of a collar because he's not super great on a leash yet- but we're getting there! We are working on leash training, crate training, potty training, and basic commands. This is all pretty new to him but he's getting a great start and is very eager to please. He's been making great progress so far. He's quickly picked up on looking at us before we give him his food, calming himself & sitting before he open the crate door, etc. He loves playing with rubber toys- kongs, balls, etc, and bones of course! He also loves being outside and laying in giant leaf piles. He's very content just hanging out outside un-entertained with us.

Khalid has not shown any signs of aggression or any other red flags. He eats out of our hands and looks to us for commands. He will make a fantastic family pet-- he is so very gentle, sweet, cautious, and teachable. He is a great advocate for the bully breed. :)
