DOG'S DESCRIPTION

Layla found herself dumped at a shelter after her owners sold her puppies, and didn't want to have anything more to do with her. After that experience, she really deserves someone who can show her how a family loves their furry family members! She is friendly and loves to play with other dogs. Despite her previous experiences, Layla is sweet, outgoing, and friendly. She is smart and a fast learner. She would love an active family or a playful canine companion in her dream home. This girl wants out of boarding and into a loving FOREVER home! Does Layla sound like your soul mate?

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.

Foster Program:  Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at [email protected]
