Maverick the Dog needs a home
Maverick is a 10 month old? ?male who was surrendered to the shelter. He has only been in his foster home since 2/9/18, but is settling in wonderfully.? ?He was a ?bit timid at first, but is building confidence everyday.
He is currently living with a 3 year old male dane and a very dominant 7 year old female lab mix and has done wonderfully with? ?them. Initial introductions went great and he has been nothing other than a young, goofy, loving dog.
While he likes to romp in the yard, for a 10 month old dog, he really acts more like an old soul and would prefer to snuggle on the couch with a human or fur sibling.
He has not had any accidents in the house and so far goes to the back door every time.
He was never crate trained previously and while he will go in the crate, has no accidents and does crate while we are at work, he hasn’t quite decided yet that he loves the crate and would prefer to be left on the couch at night. He ?has done well so far and only chewed on appropriate dog toys/bones.
This sweet boy needs to gain some weight and be neutered, but would really make a wonderful addition to any family. His sweet, calm, goofy, eager to please, loving demeanor would make him great for a first time dane owner.
