Adopt a Poodle (Miniature) / Mixed

A SWEET, VISUALLY IMPAIRED GUY:  8 years old / 14 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption facility is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  I’m a sweet lap dog and snuggler who enjoys sitting with my people while they watch TV or read as well as just sitting at your feet while they work on the computer.  Basically, I’d like to hang out with you all day and be a wonderful companion to you!  I don’t see well at all, so it takes me a moment to warm up to new people and I may bark loudly at the door, but once I know you’re a friend, I’ve been good.  I’m easy-going and quite the fast learner too.  My foster mom taught me ‘park it’ which means go to your pillow, ‘lie down’, and ‘stay there’ in a very short time.  She says that I’m very smart and I like that.  I’ve been fine with the other dogs I’ve met in my foster home, but I do want to chase the kitty, so best no kitties in my new home, and if you have another nice dog, let’s meet!  I’ve just had my teeth cleaned and most were pulled, but I don’t mind and am eating just fine.  My foster says that I’m about 90% potty trained and I was just neutered, so that will help with the initial little marking that I may do, as well as some training.  I haven’t been crated, but you can leave me in a kitchen area with a potty pad when you leave, and I usually do well.  I walk well on a leash and ride quietly in the car although it’s a little scary for me and I’ll sit and shake a bit.  As I mentioned earlier, I don’t see well but I do get around pretty good, especially once I know my home.  My right eye is covered with a cataract and my left eye was very infected when I arrived at MM’s.  The vet says that I’ll need to stay on 2 eye medications, but I don’t mind and hope you won’t either.  Older gentle kids will be best since I don’t see very well.  Energy level:  3-4.  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered and my adoption fee is $275.00.
