Melina the Cat needs a home
Melina is all but bursting at the seams to be the sweetest, most loving cat she can be --- but she needs a little help. Before coming to Best Friends, Melina lived --- if you can call it that --- with more than 800 cats crowded, hot and neglected in the Pahrump, Nevada desert. It was all she could do to get enough to eat, drink and well, survive. So it's understandable that Melina is still learning how to trust. But little by little, she's coming out of her shell. Melina likes paling around with her cat friends. In fact, one has kind of taken her under his paw and has shown her it's OK to have fun, be curious and play.Melina is shy around people but again, little by little, she's learning. She will cautiously approach an outstretched hand to sniff fingers. When she realizes those fingers are attached to a kind and loving human being, she'll stick around for a little petting.All Melina really needs is a loving family who will give her a forever home where she can feel safe to come ALL the way out of her shell.Do you think you could love her?
