Adopt a American Bulldog (short coat)
Roy the Dog needs a home
Roy is fostering in Hollywood, FL and is 6 years old.
Sir Roy is looking for his partner(s) in crime. Roy really likes to be your shadow and follows his foster Mom all around the house “helping” her throughout the day. Roy has never met a stranger and eagerly greets everyone with a wiggly butt and kisses. He is also a talker and a leg crosser, very regal hence the addition of Sir to his name.
In addition to this, his favorite pastimes are chewing on his toys on his elbows and a good game of fetch or tug of war. Roy will need sturdy toys that hold up and are not easily, shall we say, retired.
Roy is house trained and knows sit, speak, and get out of there. He can also catch treats like a champ. Roy is still underweight and has quite a few pounds to gain, but seems food motivated which is great for additional training.
Sir Roy is crate trained and goes into his crate on command or sometimes just likes to hang out in there with the door open. He has done best with his crate in a central area where he can see what's going on while in it and acclimating to a new environment. He has been crated at night and is perfectly content until morning.
Sir Roy is quite the lovable and bubbly character. A big ole bulldog mush. He loves to be talked to and will tilt his head back and forth while listening. Don't be surprised if he talks back! He is an incredible boy and will make a great companion for some lucky family.
If you are interested in adopting, please submit an adoption application at www.americanbaaulldogrescue.org so we can see if he/she would be a good fit for you and your family. It is our policy at American Bulldog Rescue not to place the same gender dogs in a home. Adoptions are most successful and harmonious with opposite genders. Please also note: No one will be considered without first submitting an adoption application. Our dogs are in homes and only approved adopters can meet them. Once approved, you can meet any dog you like that would be a good fit for you/your family.
PLEASE READ: Adopters will not be considered without completing an application. Please visit www.AmericanBulldogRescue.org to apply! Remember - Adoption is always the best option! If you can't help by adopting a homeless pet, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to American Bulldog Rescue, 4 Terry Drive, Suite 1D Newtown, PA 18940 or paypal [email protected]. We cannot place dogs in homes with children under 10 unless that dog has lived with kids or is in a foster home with kids. Thank you.
