Adopt a Jack Russell Terrier / Basenji / Mixed

SWEET, CUTE AND ACTIVE:  4 years old / 17 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption facility is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  I’m a bouncy and sweet, go getter!  I’m always ready to come out and play with, run with, do anything with the nice volunteers that are looking after me while I wait for my new family to find me.  I’m affectionate, engaging and love close contact with my people and am just as cute as they come.  I call myself ‘lively’ and I’m looking for a family that will be ‘lively’ with me!  I may have springs in my feet as I can jump 5 to 6 feet high, so I can see what’s going on, and I may be able to jump a fence too, not that I’ve tried or even had the opportunity to, just mentioning it so you’ll know to watch for that. I’m currently working on my leash walking and have entered the MM training program, so I’m learning lots of new things.  I’ll also need your help with my potty training.  It could be that I just need to get out more often than the MM schedule permits, but I’m not sure.  I’m food and treat motivated, so you can use that for rewards when I potty outside!  I seem to be afraid of the loud cars and trucks when they drive by, so please just keep a good hold of my leash.  I’m sweet and fun, and we’ll have great time together. I’ve been friendly with the dogs I’ve met at MM’s, but my hackles were up, so I’ll need a proper, calm introduction if you have a dog in your home, so we can see if we’ll be good friends. Energy level:  6-8.  I met a 10-year-old at MM’s and I was sweet with him, but a home with older kids will likely be best for me as I may overwhelm young kids with my bouncy nature.  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, spayed and my adoption fee is $275.00.
