Collie / Labrador Retriever / Mixed Dog

Rowan the Dog needs a home

This lovely one-year old lady is Rowan. Labs & More rescued Rowan after she was hit by a car and abandoned on the street for weeks. After an emergency surgery to repair her bilateral pelvic fractures, she spent several months healing and relearning how to be a happy and carefree puppy again - and she came back full force. Rowan is one of the happiest, cuddliest, silliest dogs you'll meet! Not only did she heal completely and can walk normally, she can also run (short distances), jump and play with no problem! However, she'd like you to note that she'd prefer to be a cuddle bug than a running buddy. Her favorite place is on your lap or snuggled up in bed with you - preferably while giving you unlimited hand kisses. She can be left uncrated while you're away, although she's definitely not opposed to a crate. She often goes into her crate willingly. She loves going for walks to check out the neighborhood and chase squirrels, but she is not a dog park kind of dog. Despite her small frame, this little girl likes to be top dog. She gets along with her foster sibling, but would prefer to be an only dog. Unfortunately, Rowan is very frightened by men and small children, so she needs an all-female household or a very, very patient boyfriend/husband. It should also be noted that she has some food allergies and therefore requires special food. It's not a big deal, but is worth mentioning. Her favorite thing in the world is snuggling up with you to get pets or chewing on a tennis ball. Let your adoption coach know if you'd like to meet this spunky and sweet floof! If you are ready for the rewarding experience of adding to your family by adopting a dog, and you are interested in meeting Rowan, your first step is to fill out an adoption application on our website.

This information is as up to date and accurate as possible for the dog in their current environment. All dogs and puppies will need time and training to adjust to their new surroundings and learn the rules of their new home. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, the first step is completing the adoption application, available with our adoption process on our website at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption includes the spay or neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and other services provided while in our care. The safety and health of our puppies is priority one so we only allow approved applicants to meet and handle puppies. Please understand everything we do is for the dogs and conducted by our kind and generous volunteers. We rely solely on donations and we do not profit from a dog's adoption. Labs and More is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates on donations and time dedicated to this cause by volunteers. Your adoption will save the life of future dogs in need. Labs and More makes no guarantees regarding the behavior, breed, or age of the dogs in our care. Although we strive to provide necessary medical care to dogs in our care, we cannot predict future or current medical needs whether they were symptomatic or not at the time of adoption.
