Adopt a American Pit Bull Terrier (short coat)
Dixie the Dog needs a home
Dixie is a gorgeous Brindle four year old female American Pit Bull Terrier. She is very sweet and mellow and is said to be house-trained. There needs to be NO kids, cats or dogs in her home.
Dixie's foster mom had this to say about her:
"Dixie is a great dog. She gets an B+ on her leash. I am told she is dog aggressive, but she did not seem reactive to dogs while on our walk. She was also not reactive to kids, bikes, and runners. She is shy and and timid, but she did warm up to me after about an hour at home. She seemed to just enjoy sleeping on the couch. Due to her past life experiences, she seems to prefer a quiet home. She needs to gain weight, but is very food motivated. She knows sit, down, shake and stay. Dixie is reserved, shy, timid, and slow to warm up."
Her minimum adoption donation is $145.00 plus a $12 fee for rabies registration with McLean County Animal Control.
Dixie has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm and fecal checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
