The first time I ever saw a human? I don't remember much before Paws 4 You. That's where it all started. My brother and sister were pupnapped by humans. They were too quick to trust, but I knew better. I hid under the bed any time a human came near us and pooped right on them if they ever found me. It worked for a while. But once my brother and sister were gone, I sort of gave up. These two humans came in my kennel, and I just surrendered. I remember the car. I was on the man-human's lap, and I was so afraid, I couldn't move. As soon as we reached our destination, I ran for cover. I hid. I hid anywhere I could. I hid for days. But then I noticed the strangest thing. There were other pups there that had been pupnapped, lots of them, different ones every day... but... they all seemed so happy. I started coming out when the humans were at a safe distance and trying to get information from the pups. It took me a while to crack them, but eventually they let me in on their little secret. They weren't pupnapped at all! They actually WANT to live with humans! Maybe my brother and sister weren't pupnapped either! I'm still trying to make sense of all of this, but in the meantime, the other pups here are taking good care of me and teaching me that these humans are pretty nice - see everything I've learned in my video! Maybe it would help if I could meet other nice humans. On two conditions though... they have to be patient and love me for who I am no matter what forever, and they HAVE to have other pups - confident pups who aren't afraid and like to play. That's how I will know they are good humans.
