Adopt a Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed

Paul and his best friend Mr. Snake, his loyal squeaky toy, are a package deal. They love to go on walks together, play together and snuggle up together when it's bedtime. This adorable pair is looking for a forever home that can appreciate all that they have to offer. Paul and Mr. Snake love to go out on walks, and Paul's tail never stops wagging while he trots right by your side. He also loves to play with toys and he will happily play with Mr. Snake by himself while rolling on his back looking absolutely adorable. Or he will come up and put Mr. Snake in your lap to ask for a good tug-of-war session. Paul is a good sport too - if he wins he will come right back to offer you his toy so you can start a new game together. Also, having a dog named Paul is quite beneficial. He can be your wing-dog and no one will ever question if you tell them you can't hang out because you already have plans with your best friend Paul. He will make great company for a movie night, though of course his good friend Mr. Snake has to come along. Paul is a very smart pup and he's eager to learn new things. He has quickly learned both sit and down and he walks nicely on a leash. He's also in APA's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program and works with a volunteer trainer several times a week toward the goal of passing the American Kennel Club's CGC test! Paul has been working hard to be a dog you can take anywhere with pride. To pass the CGC test, a dog must demonstrate obedience and general reliability in real world situations. Dogs in APA's CGC program learn to sit and down, walk nicely on leash, sit calmly when approached by strangers or another dog, won't approach people or dogs without permission, greet people appropriately, stay in a sit or down until told "free," and come when called. As part of APA's CGC program you can work with APA to continue to build a training relationship with Paul after adoption and get officially CGC certified for free!
