Gigi is a 6 year old chocolate and tan dachshund mix. Gigi weighs 19 pounds. Gigi was dropped off at a very busy LA County shelter by her owner. No information was given about her or reason she was given up. Gigi stared out the door day after day waiting for her person, to come back but they never did. Gigi was very scared and very angry. She wanted nothing to do with anyone, so she sat in the back of her kennel staring at the wall. She just wanted this whole scary ordeal to end. She was hoping she would wake up, back in her bed and be safe. A plea went out for a rescue to save her and we answered.
Gigi loves attention and actually demands it! If you are sitting down she thinks it is her duty to make sure you have a lap full of doxie. Gigi will take a home that is patient and understands her need for an adjustment period. She is very shy and can be defensive if pushed too quick. Gigi is great with dogs and cats, sorry no small kids.
