Jessica the Dog needs a home
JESSICA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Jessica Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd Mix
Best Guess for Age: 2-3 years old SEX: Female
Approximate Weight: 48 lbs
Has Lived With: other dogs
Currently Living at: Shelter, looking for a foster or forever home!
My name is Jessica, and let me tell you, I’ve already had quite the life. I don't quite know how this happened, but somehow I ended up in a scary place called a shelter. There were a lot of other dogs in cages; it was super loud and cold on that cement floor. I was living in a place where no adoptions took place, and if Lucky Dog had not come in, I don't know what would have happened to me. However, thanks to Lucky Dog, the folks at the shelter helped me leave, and I get to travel all the way to the DC area in hopes that someone here will want to take me home. I'm waiting every day for my chance to find someone to love, cuddle and play with!
So a bit about me: Right now, I’m about 2-3 years old and 48 lovable pounds. My age means that I will do a little more growing but not TOO much, and as you can see from my pictures, I can likely stand to gain a few pounds. No one is certain, but most people think I'm some sort of a Shepherd mix! But it doesn't really matter what kind of dog they call me... whatever I am, I love to play and have fun!
I’ve been daydreaming about my new family, and I've decided I would love to go to a home with some folks that will take me on hikes, runs, and trips to the dog park to play with my canine friends. I would also love someone who will give me lots of belly rubs and get me cool toys to play with. I would love it if my new family would take me to obedience classes so that I could use my smarts to learn tons of new tricks. If you think I might be the right dog for you, then please let my Adoption Coordinator know! I do hope to hear from you soon!
Like most shelter dogs, Jessica may need a refresher on house training. She is likely crate trained.
Jessica has tested positive and will be treated for Heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were Heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly Heartworm preventative.
The adoption fee for this dog is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and Heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Chanell D at [email protected]!
Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.
