Katrina is a loving dog who wants human companionship and also enjoys the company of other dogs. She will look deeply into your eyes with love. Katrina came into the rescue very overweight and with a good controlled diet she has lost several pounds and is looking good. Katrina does need help walking up slick stairs. She runs down just fine and has no trouble with outdoor stairs. She is a happy little dog who has come through some tough times before coming to RMCR. She loves to play with rocks. She is house-trained for the most part but needs reminders to go outdoors and will defecate sometimes when lying down if she has gotten spooked. Wears a diaper at bedtime or when being left for a few hours. All in all Katrina is a love and would do well in a home with mature adults. She is a joy to foster. Katrina's hind legs stumble sometimes but that does not cause her problems. The vet feels that this is most likely due to a prior neurological issue which causes her legs to "not know where they briefly". Is now on Gabapentin for suspected neurological issues. This does not cause her problems. Rear legs seem weaker recently.
