He is very sweet to the children and loves them greatly. He allows them to use him as a foot rest or pillow. Even though he is big he thinks he can still be a lap dog. He very much wants to be like his humans and tries to do things like us, (sitting in chairs around the fire pit or standing up at the railing of the deck next to us) He does have an issue with darting out the door when he gets a chance, and treats it as a game but always comes back if not chased. Because he is home for so many hours of the day alone he does dig and chew up anything he can find in the yard to tear apart. He is very calm but also very playful. He loves to run and really loves to splash in puddles after a heavy rain. He loves toys and to run around throwing things in the air to chase. He is such a puppy when it comes to his toys, squiky toys get him very excited but they only last a few days. He also rolls around on his toys and makes many funny excited sounds while playing with his toys. He has a few behavior issues that I believe can be easily addressed with time and training. He needs a family or owner who is home more often then we are. We love him a lot and would love to find someone who is able to give him the time and attention that we can't give him and that he deserves. He is very sweet, lovable, smart, and funny. He has to spend way too much time outside alone during the day, with winter coming I just don't believe it is fair to him.
