Adopt a Corgi / Mixed

A HANDSOME, YET OVERWEIGHT FELLOW:  4 years old / 49 lbs. and needs to lose a lot of weight!  Mostly Mutts adoption facility is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  I was with MM’s 2.5 years ago and adopted to a family that didn’t yet have kids.  Now they have a 9-month-old and we simply can’t work things out, so I’m looking for a new family to love.  I never bit the baby but did get a little snappy; perhaps the baby pulled my fur or tail, not knowing that I wouldn’t want that, or bothered my food, I can’t exactly remember what it was.  My former family loved me a lot and was very sad to give me up, but they had to do what was best for all of us.  I know there’s a new family that I’ll love again that doesn’t have young kids.  Perhaps much older kids will be best for me?  My former family reported that I had good potty manners, was crate trained, got along with the family cat and did well with some dogs.  So, if you have another playful dog at home, let’s meet.  Please watch the doors as they also said that I bolted through doors/gates and that I was a bit possessive of my food/treats.  Since losing my home, I’m confused and a bit stressed, but in a short time, I have already begun to adjust – thanks to the love and attention of the volunteers who care for me at the shelter - as I am a happy and much more animated guy outside my crate on walks and when hanging out with people.  You’ll notice that I’m obese!  Please, please help me lose all this weight that I’ve gained (13 lbs.) as I want to get back to a healthy weight!  I’m still a moderate to higher energy guy at about a 5-7 on a scale from 1-10 and will be likely a little higher once I’m at my ideal weight.  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered and my adoption fee is $275.00.
