DITR is helping the Town of  Hempstead Animal Shelter with their dogs that have been there way too long.   We have worked closely with TOHAS many times in the past and have helped facilitate adoptions in our area   Please note that these TOHAS dogs  need a foster home first in order to be sprung.   



Hi my name is Princess Ariel. That's right I am a Princess, though I haven't felt that way for a long, long time You see I was DUMPED at the shelter in October 2016. I have been WAITING and WAITING for my FOREVER to come and I'm STILL WAITING I am about 5 yrs old, DOG FRIENDLY with dogs my size and I LOVE PEOPLE!!! Oh, wait I almost forgot, I LOVE KIDS!!!
