Dixie is a Yorkie/Doxie cross. She's 2 yrs old and terrified of everything. She will be fostered by Nicole and once she has learned to trust she will be available for adoption.

Her foster mom sent us this update  >"Little miss Dixie is really starting to show some personality. She is out and about all the time now and very playful. Always grabbing a toy and engaging in play with the other dogs. She comes very close to me now and even barks at me when she wants to be fed or I talk to her.  I won't be surprised if I'm able to touch her before Emma. Still too afraid to go out but wants to badly.  extremely playful, always willing to play and interact with each other and the other dogs.  Dixie got hold of an empty bread bag the other day and entertained herself for 20 minutes with it. She tore it up and barked at it and raced around the house with it. She was having so much fun, I didn't have the heart to stop her, so I just cleaned it up when she was done!


Peole may not think that's a big deal, but considering that she never left her crate for 4 weeks and cowered if you even looked her way, it really is!"

 

Dixie still has some trust issues but with the someone that has patience and lots of love she will learn to trust .  Her foster mom will be very picky as to where she goes so if you think you are the right family for Dixie please fill out out application for her and we'll be in touch.
