Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
Bambi (aka Bailey) had a rough go in his previous life. Bailey was rescued from a local animal shelter and came to us with several issues. We found, after his appointment with the vet, that he had a growth behind his left eye. Bailey underwent surgery to remove the growth behind his eye, which also meant removing the eye. Bailey also had to have almost all of his teeth removed. His mouth was one big infection. Poor guy. And he has a slight heart murmur. Phew! If you meet Bailey, you wouldn't see a dog who has struggled to overcome a myriad of health issues, you would see a very happy little guy. Bailey loves to be held in your arms, sit next to you while you watch tv and sleep with you on your bed. He has no problem keeping up and is a fairly active dog. He would do well in a home with a larger canine companion. He has little dog syndrome and is a bit competitive with dogs his size. The only ongoing care he receives is inexpensive medicine for his heart murmur and soft food to eat.
