Adopt a Dogo Argentino / Boxer / Mixed

This beautiful smiling mama dog named Melody was found and turned into a high kill shelter. We rescued her because we saw she was in horrible shape and was going to be euthanized! Soon after we stepped forward, we learned she was expecting! Sure enough she now has a litter of six amazing babies. Things seemed to be turning around for this sweet girl. She had her babies and was transported directly to one of our wonderful foster homes so her babies can be loved and cared for. Soon afterwards she had yet more bad news. This mama can't catch a break! She is heartworm positive. We as the Humane Society will treat this, but it is pricey! Thanks to the grant from Petco Foundation we are able to rescue more cases like this one.
