Hi there people, the humans call me Zoe. Did you ever try out to be a Cheerleader or for the soccer team and didn’t make it? Bummer right. I can relate, I was chosen for Service Dog try outs, because of my calm gentle demeanor, but I didn’t make the cut because I am shy in new situations and when you are a service to a person, you have to be totally confident all the time. The reason I am cautious with new places is because I spent most of my youth at a shelter place and didn’t get to go on lots of outings, so public places weird me out a little bit, but then I get used to it after a few times.
But the good news is…….I would still make a great companion for a lucky person because I do have a great temperament. I am 2 years old and a Lab mix, but not big like a regulation size Lab, just 40 pounds. Lucky for you I am already crate trained, know all about leash walking and I can even do a SIT. I am very smart and want to always make sure I do what makes my person’s tail wag, if you had a tail. I would be great right away for a homebody type person, but if you like to go places, and are willing to commit to going slowly and using your patience to get me accustomed to new experiences, then I think we could be buds too. I get along with other dogs and if you have another confident dog, that would be an excellent way to help me ease into social situations. I have 40 pounds of affection and devotion and would love to share my life with YOU! I am being courtesy posted by God’s Dogs Rescue on behalf of a wonderful service dog trainer. I did not pass my service dog evaluation because I am shy in new places, but she knows I will make someone a great companion pet. God’s Dogs Rescue will get you in touch with her so you can discuss and make sure I am the right fit for your home.
Just email [email protected] and tell them you want ME! I'm waiting : )
