Momma the Cat needs a home
Momma was a stray in Morris County. A volunteer with EHR came to know about her through a co-worker. Momma was so sweet that it broke the co-workers heart so she began to feed her. It was quickly discovered that Momma was pregnant. Her baby was born in late August under the co-workers deck but then moved by mom. So the wait for mom to bring the baby back started.
Momma came back daily to be fed and the co-worker gained her trust. It was clear Momma was someones pet at one time. It was also clear that she had been on her own for a while. It's amazing to see a thrown away cat be able to trust again.
After approximately 5 weeks baby and Momma appeared. Now it was all about getting them into a foster home, this is where another co-worker of the EHR volunteer stepped in. It takes a village!
Momma and Junior are in their foster home where they are thriving. The vet feels that Momma is around 5 years old. She has 2 teeth and the vet feels it's not due to age but that some cat's just have bad teeth. She is feline fiv and leukemia negative. She is spayed and up to date on her rabies and other vaccines. Her foster mom reports that she is super sweet and feels she'll do well with dog's. If intereseted in adopting, please fill out an application at www.ehrdogs.org
