Adopt a Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)
Kota the Cat needs a home
I’ve been waiting for my forever home since March 2015.
Kota is a very sweet and misunderstood kitty. She loves other cats and kittens and to have her head and chin scratched but is going to need a very special and understanding forever home. Kota was found as a feral kitten about 4-5 months old. She did not know the love of a home and how kind people can be early in life. She is in a foster home where she has slowly learned the love of a person and the comforts of a home. She takes longer to adapt to new environments and to learn new people but once she does you can see her loving and affectionate personality. Kota absolutely loves kittens and other cats. She will groom, play with, and acts as the fun "momma kitty". She does not have a mean bone in her little body. Kota would blossom best in a quiet home environment without small children that might frighten her. She has been around dogs but keeps a distance and is cautious around them. Any new cat or kitten she is introduces to she is eager to become friends with. She is slow to trust new people but once she does she meows and them and will come cautiously to them for head and chin scratches. Kota has come a long way but still needs more work and the understanding to completely blossom to her full potential.
This kitty is currently in foster care.

As a rescue organization, we think that it is so important to ensure that all of our cats and kittens are socialized and as comfortable as possible. Shelter environments are stressful, and some cats do not fair as well as others. For this reason, a cat or kitten may be located in foster care as opposed to our other locations.

Thank You For Choosing to Adopt!!
As a no-kill rescue, we can only bring in and save more cats and kittens in need as our current cats and kittens are adopted. This is why we say that when you adopt one cat or kitten you are actually saving TWO lives! One is the current cat or kitten that you are adopting, the second is the one that we now have room to save and place into our safe shelter.
