Laverne is such a sweet and happy little girl. She is so excited to see her humans and her tail never stops wagging. Laverne is very playful and is always up for chasing our resident dog around, but is also respectful when playtime is over. She has been possessive of her toys and does not want to share them with humans or other dogs. However, she quickly forgets about her toys when there are treats involved.
She was very friendly and understanding when meeting younger children. She was very curious and didn’t get in their faces.
She was tested with cats and seemed to do well - she was interested, but not overly so and didn't show any prey drive. I suspect with a dog savvy cat and teaching her how to behave she'd be fine.
We are working on fully crate training her. She goes into her crate very easily with a little treat, but sings very sad songs if she can still hear you in the house. She is potty trained and does very well on a schedule. We are getting her used to being on a leash - she can sometimes get distracted by it.
