Vince may have spent the first year and a half of his life without any attention or training at all, but he's quickly making up for lost time! He is as sweet and cuddly as can be and is just as content snuggling up to you as he is just being near you. He's great with kids and dogs and
every person he's ever met. He's even ok with cats, though they do scare him a little. He enjoys public outings and has been well-behaved and polite at restaurants, bars, parks, and his foster mom's school. Even though he still has some of the Blue Heeler puppy mouthiness, he's
terrific with children and loves running and playing with his three-year-old human foster sister. He lets her take him for walks, comes when she calls, and sits when she asks him to! He even tries to ride in her carseat and sleep in her toddler bed with her. Vince is a quick study, and he's already learned to come when called, sit when you snap your fingers, lay down, walk on a leash, and heel off-leash. He'll learn anything in an instant if you have a handful of treats. He's almost completely housebroken, with only the occasional accident if left inside too long. Because of his rough start in life, he's very eager to get to his food at feeding time, but with daily lessons in patience, he is getting better about sitting and waiting for his food to be served instead of bouncing around in excitement. He has never shown the slightest tendency towards food aggression and regularly shares his bowl with the other dogs in the house. He doesn't even care
if you reach into or take the bowl away mid-meal. Vince is a diamond in the rough who is quickly polishing up to be a phenomenal dog. He would love a home with space for him to run and play and a big couch so he can snuggle up next to you in the evenings. Vince adores other dogs and would be happiest with a buddy to help him patrol the yard and to play with him. At 35 pounds, he's the perfect size to be able to tag along with you anywhere you go, and his striking good looks are guaranteed to turn heads. His only downfall is an extreme fondness
for chicken, so he needs to live in a poultry-free home. He also has high herding drive, so I do not think he would do well around livestock without supervision. Soooo .... please email [email protected] if Vince is the boy who will complete your family.
GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter - ALL of our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. UPON adoption this dog/pup will be transported to you in YOUR area!!
Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, micro-chipped, heart worm tested and on current on monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventative. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.
****Please realize that breed mix and size when grown are guesstimates based on the dog/pup's characteristics and coloring, unless we have mother/father in our rescue...*****
ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $200.00 for adoptions in TEXAS only. IF THIS IS AN OUT OF STATE ADOPTION, TRANSPORT TO YOU is included in the adoption fee of $400.00 for adult dogs and $450.00 for puppies. We transport all over the country!!
