Zorro was part of the fabulous three Siberian Huskies we saved from am 86 dog hoarding/puppy mill case in Georgia.
Zorro has a thirst for life! He is 9-12 months old and very much still a pup! He LOVES other dogs. He needs a home where there are other young, playful dogs who will show him the ropes. He looks to other dogs for companionship and to be his guide to show him he's safe. Zorro does not like to be left alone for long periods of time. He would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time OR with a family who will take him to doggy daycare regularly. Zorro is also cat friendly!
The other two dogs from this situation have since been adopted, but we are just adding Zorro to the site. Why you might ask? We wanted to get Zorro to MD to see our ophthalmologist. Zorro is a product of bad breeding - he's one of the many reasons why you should never support puppy mills. Zorro has juvenile cataracts and double dew claws. His unattached dew claws were removed when he was neutered and our Ophthalmologist does not think his sight will get worse as he gets older, but of course that could change. His only limitation at this time is difficultly seeing in direct sunlight. We feel strongly this is why he sticks to other dogs in the home and by no means does it get him down. This guy is a player and a love bug!! Zorro still has some of the most beautiful parti eyes!
Zorro is just a beautiful soul, named after his closed mask. We hope you'll find it in your heart to give him the stability and love he deserves.
Zorro is being fostered in MD - any approved adopter wanting to meet or adopt Zorro should be willing to do so at our MD rescue office.
~~The Last Resort is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. If you’re still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.thelastresortrescue.com/adoptionapplication.htm
