Fred the Dog needs a home
Years ago, when ARF first started sheltering dogs and cats, Fred was one of our very first rescues. He has been with us all this time, sadly overlooked again and again.
Thrown out as a 5 week old puppy, Fred was found at Parham Bridges Park. Shortly after we got him into our care, Fred became terribly ill and we weren't sure if he would be able to make it. At this time, a nearby dog named River, who had been very shy, came out of his shell and helped us to nurse poor Fred back to health. With the help of his buddy River, Fred slowly regained his strength, and eventually matured into a healthy adult dog. Today, he remains with us, but is sadly getting older and older. He will always have a pen with us even if he never finds a home - ARF is the only life he has ever known, and all of his freidsn are here. But we hope his family is out there - someone looking for a laid back, older dog - and we know that this is the life he deserves.
Fred has a touch of brown in his fur, cute ears, an adorable black fingerprint mark on his tongue. Despite his age, Fred has a gregarious, fun-loving personality. Need we say more?!? He is up to date on shots, neutered and ready for a home. Come spend some time with this lovely old gentleman, and have him show you what rescue is really all about!
