Adopt a Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) Cat

Saffron the Cat needs a home

And then there was ONE...Saffron. From a colony with 19 kittens, only one remains to be adopted! That is because they have such remarkable personalities and demeanors. Why, you might ask, is Saffron not adopted? Well, at the beginning, her foster mom wanted her to be adopted with one of her foster siblings. Then, as she grew, she became a special energy. Always inquisitive and always exploring, she needed a home where she could be these things and not be hurt.

Saffron is also the life of the party, so to speak. She will play with every toy at least once and find new ways to do so. She also gets into EVERYTHING, so should not go to a home with young children or where there are lots of things that could be broken. She is quirky, and sweet, and loving. If you have another cat, she is likely to be vocal in telling the other one to let her be the leader, but she has never gotten into a fight with another cat. All bark and no bite, as they say! Still a youngster at one year old, she will be a delight for the right family.

We have videos of Saffron when a bit younger (although she isn't much larger now):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JlWW51NQR0   Saffron and best friend/cousin, Carob, are playing in the box. They have so much fun, and you have a chance to see Saffron's face and Carob's beautiful markings! They are about 7 and 7.5 months in the video.

 by her foster mom.

At the beginning, you will see Saffron run up stairs and into the living room, then back out as Carob runs in. Neesi will come from behind a chair and you can hear her trill. Bess then follows Neesi out and stands looking around.

Saffron is very loving and needs her people time.  As she has grown, we have come to believe that she could be considered to go to a home as an only cat, although it would still be best if she had a playmate.
