Fluffly - Lovable - Sensitive John Cena is a tad bit shy at first when he meets you. He won't necessarily run up to you right away, but once he realizes you will be giving him positive attention, he will follow you anywhere! Whether he's on your lap, being held, or right next to you, as long as he is getting loved, he is beyond thrilled. He even loves belly rubs! John likes to remind you that he is around. Frequently, when he is walking around the apartment, he will meow once or twice, just to be sure you have not forgotten about him. He is so fluffy and soft! You can't help but want to bury your face in his fur. When you lay him on his back to rub his belly, he will knead the air because he's so happy with the attention. John is a little timid at first (he stayed in his crate for the first day his foster mom had him), so he would do well with some humans that will give him a day or two time to warm up to his new environment. After he is comfortable, he will love to explore all the nooks and crannies of your home. He would probably love to have another (FeLV+) kitty in the home, but would do just fine on his own as well. He has some dog experience, and while initially fearful of his canine foster brother, they are co-existing peacefully now. John is also good with older children who understand that he is a little shy and fearful of sudden movement. John Cena is FeLV+ (Feline Leukemia Virus), which causes a weakened immune system and requires special care. APA! provides some medical assistance after adoption. Cats with FeLV typically have a shortened lifespan. John is not contagious to people or dogs, but should live only with other FeLV+ cats.
