Cowboy the Horse needs a home
Cowboy's story is an interesting one. He is a Quarter Horse who was born in 1997 on a working ranch in Colorado; he was born to be a cow horse. But he was also born with something called lordosis which is a spinal condition causing a severely swayed back. Because of this, he wasn't able to be a working ranch horse and a neighbor took him in. She sent him to us when he was about 6 years old and we've had him ever since. Cowboy is such a character! He is super smart (and a bit mischievous!) and has had a lot of training. When he was younger, we taught him to pull a cart and he did that happily for several years. Now that he's a senior horse, he's developed some arthritis in his spine and can no longer comfortably pull the cart, but he has a generally good quality of life and is an excellent companion to the other horses that he lives with. If you are looking for a companion horse who is always the first one to greet people at the gate, and is super fun to be around, Cowboy might be the boy for you.
