Puppy alert! Under a year old Lucy is trying to really shine. She hasn't had the best start in life, finding herself in the shelter at only 3 months old and then bounced around before landing in rescue. As expected, she tends to be weary of strangers and new surroundings so she takes time to warm up and get comfortable. However, we are helping her with that and so much more as she is enrolled in our advanced behavioral program where she is learning that meeting new people can actually be fun! Dogs like Lucy need a confident handler, someone that will advocate for her when she is unsure of herself. And that is you, you she will not disappoint. She is such a love and adores giving (and receiving) affection. She walks well on leash, listens and loves to be part of the pack. She is good with other dogs and really enjoys puppy play time. Of course, like most "toddlers" she will try to test the boundaries if you let he and it is important that that her human companion is up for reinforcing her skills with consistent structure and guidance. She is going to be one amazing companion for a very lucky family.
Lucy is available through Looking Glass Animal Rescue, a 501(c)(3) non profit. We require an adoption application, reference checks and home visit. A tax deductible adoption fee applies.
