My name is Dexter and I was trapped in an unsafe area with my siblings and taken in because I seemed somewhat socialized. I am a typical independent and on my terms personality of a short haired tabby female, but I am also very sweet and like to be petted and brushed. Now that I realizes what it’s like to be loved and well cared for I love people and attention.
However I do have a hard time being with other animals, as I am not used to that kind of environment. I really enjoy as much attention as I can get. My owner got very ill and I was not allowed to go with her. I am miserable in my current foster home as my new caregiver has 8+Kitties and 1 dog.
I answer to my name – (not that I like it!) when I was adopted my owner was told that I was a boy! Can you believe it? Finally, when I got to the vet’s office to be neutered he told everyone that I was a GIRL! I would be perfect for a retired person or couple. I’ll be bringing my cat stand of course as I enjoy sitting by the window soaking up the sun. I exhibit perfect litter manners and I am completely healthy. Fleas are disgusting and I would never have them. I keep myself very clean.
