Hoss the Dog needs a home

Hoss came to ARF as a small puppy in 2011, along with his brothers Crawford and Winchester. We're looking for the right family (and volunteers!) to spend time with Hoss, as he is the most skittish of the three and spends long periods of time hiding under his bed. As a result, he is strongly bonded to his brothers, often remaining in touch with Winchester. Though he is intimidated by new situations, he is a gentle, sweet dog who will let you sit and pet him. Given time, we expect him to make a strong bond with a new person, as he adores the attention and will likely rely heavily on his forever family for support. Keep in mind that he is still a relatively young dog though, so we are confident that, given the right environment, he will really come out of his shell. His nerves mean that he is still learning to walk on a leash, but his ~35 lb. size make him an ideal fit for most homes. If you're looking for a special dog to spend some time with or bring home, please consider our sweet Hoss.
