Adopt a Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)
Hamish the Cat needs a home
HAMISH really loves people, and he usually likes other cats, too. One of our volunteers found him in a mobile home park. He looked very ill; depressed and with large patches of fur missing. We really feared that he might be at the end of his life. But our vet diagnosed a flea energy (He was crawling with fleas), and once the fleas were gone, and he’d had enough good food, and love, his fur grw back and he went from sad and depressed to very happy, healthy and playful. He’s a young cat, probably born in 2015.
He was abandoned in a mobile home park when his family moved away. Left to “fend for himself” he may not have had the hunting skills he needed for survival, or perhaps he was sad about losing his home and family. He is confident and unassuming, but he loves to follow people around and “help” them with whatever they are doing. He’s really playful, too, and has a fun personality—and a lot of it.
He is neutered, tested (negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV) vaccinated for Distemper and Rabies, and Microchipped. All of our cats come with our “cat-back guarantee. If you ever need to rehome a cat you adopt from us, at any time, for any reason, please return him/her to us.
