Sera - (Medical) the Dog needs a home
Meet Sera! This playful, sweet girl is a year old Lab and Shepherd mix. Sera came to Labs and More with a leg injury that required surgery to fix. She's currently recovering in a foster home and we expect her to get the all-clear from the vet in early March. Sera is very playful with other dogs and would love a furry playmate around who can match her energy level! Sera is housetrained, good with kids, dogs of all sizes, and cats. She's fostered with cats and pays little attention to them, so with a careful introduction and transition period we think she can live with cats in her forever home. She is very sweet and a little shy at first but very goofy and loves to play and cuddle - and rarely barks. At her current age, she walks/runs/plays just like any dog. She likes to go for short walks and has just been introduced to water and loves it! Her current vet says water exercise will be great for her going forward. She would probably be best in a home without very small children as she's a bit clumsy. Sera is working on basic commands in her foster home, and is looking forward to a forever home where she can continue to learn to be the best girl she can be. Sera will likely need to be on joint supplements for life, but they are affordable and easy to find.
This information is as up to date and accurate as possible for the dog in their current environment. All dogs and puppies will need time and training to adjust to their new surroundings and learn the rules of their new home. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, the first step is completing the adoption application, available with our adoption process on our website at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption includes the spay or neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and other services provided while in our care. The safety and health of our puppies is priority one so we only allow approved applicants to meet and handle puppies. Please understand everything we do is for the dogs and conducted by our kind and generous volunteers. We rely solely on donations and we do not profit from a dog's adoption. Labs and More is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates on donations and time dedicated to this cause by volunteers. Your adoption will save the life of future dogs in need. Labs and More makes no guarantees regarding the behavior, breed, or age of the dogs in our care. Although we strive to provide necessary medical care to dogs in our care, we cannot predict future or current medical needs whether they were symptomatic or not at the time of adoption.
