Tipsy the Dog needs a home
If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please visit our website, for details about our fees and process, and to complete our Pre-Qualification Form. ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis. We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes.
Tipsy is a 4-year-old mixed breed; about 55 lbs.
She was surrendered to a shelter when her owners moved. Because she's so fearful she wasn't able to be put out on the adoption floor, so ARPO took her into a foster home.
Tipsy is shy, nervous & fearful in new situations and when meeting new people.
Once you gain her trust, she is very gentle with "her human family" as you can see in the photo of her napping on her foster mom's lap. Tipsy gets along good with the resident dogs in her foster home. However, she doesn't react well to young energetic dogs. Calm, older dogs are more her preference.
She will need a home without cats.

nce she is comfortable with you, the goofy, loyal and fun-loving side of her personality really shines!
She will need patient owners who lead a relatively quiet lifestyle and are willing to put the effort in to helping her manage her fears.
In return, she will reward you by being a very loving companion.
Tipsy seems to learn by watching and following other dogs and requires a home with a well-adjusted dog(s) that she can follow and learn from.
She would not be a good fit in a home with young, active children/active teenagers, or in an apartment setting.
She is house trained and crate trained.
