Adopt a Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Jenny.   

Defined not by her age, but by her spunk. 

Imagine a 1,000 year old lady playing roller hockey and that’s what you have with Jenny.  Her body may be older, but her spirit and tenacity for life are that of a young pup!!

She really didn’t come from the best of situations.  Found roaming multiple times and taken to the dog shelter and retrieved every time.  Except for this last time.  And that is when she  became a Diamond.

We figured her being a senior she’d be mellow and calm.  HERE IS YOUR WARNING.  She is anything but.  Bull in China Shop.  Must check everything out.  Must smell everything.  Grace is also NOT her middle name.

ALTHOUGH – she does LOVE LOVE LOVE to snuggle.  And her kisses – let’s say if you got a dollar for every kiss she gave you, her foster would have been a millionaire in a day, scratch that – an hour.

She bounces everywhere she goes.  LOVES to go for walks and if you take her for car rides, well, she’ll sing you the song of her people.  She loves them so much that she vocalizes it to you!!

Jenny is the true definition of resilience.  TRUE DEFINITION.  Life handed her lemonade and she spiked that sh*t with vodka.  The motto “make the best of what you have”  and “why sit when you can dance” are what Jenny is all about!!

She keeps her foster momma amused and entertained.  She leaves the kitties alone.  And just so badly wants to please. 

Aside from all that, when Jenny settles you see the true love she is.  The curl up in a ball and be your leg warmer kind of love.  The obedient girl.  The sit and take treats gently kind of girl.  She’s won the hearts of many.  She’s just looking for the right home to call her own.

While she is vivacious she is losing her sight.  And that does cause her to have some fear issues with other dogs if she doesn’t see them coming.  She is fine with cats and has had no problems with little dogs. 

Jenny came to us for all the wrong reasons.  And we have vowed to find her the perfect home for all the right reasons.  Her foster mom has been known to say,  “because of Jenny I have learned more than ever about forgiveness.  A sweetheart like Jenny that can show this form of love and happiness even with the adversity she has faced, she’s teaching a lesson I needed to learn.  And from her I have.”.
