Adopt a Pointer / Spaniel (medium coat)

I’d rather be a trendsetter than an Irish Setter any day. I am thought to be of some type of gun dog ancestry either Setter/Pointer/Spaniel or something of that variety due to my speckles and large size.  Howlever, if you just take a gander at me, your eyeballs will tell ya that I look a lot like an Australian Cattle dog on stilts. I got the perky ears and oreo cookie n cream coat.  Dog ancestry is all a guess, we don’t carry our family trees around, that would be heavy and plus the words would be smeared, because let’s be honest, we would be lifting our leg on it…….am I right?  Jokes aside, I am one of those “difficult to place” dogs, because, and I will just get straight to the point………I am picky about my dog friends, you just never know who I will like and who I will unfriend. And to pile on I have a hankering to chase small critters that catch my eye, whether they be varmints like squirrels and mice, or bigger critters like cats and Chihuahuas.  I have the heart of a hunter.  All that being said, I would make a good buddy for a guy’s guy type of guy.  You know, a loner who likes to go camping in remote areas, or just needs a road dog to ride on long trips.  I am still a relatively young guy, mistakeingly rescued from the city pound by a senior dog rescue group.  Once they realized I was not actually a grandpa pup, they asked God’s Dogs Rescue to take me on instead.  I am loyal and active and although my afurmentioned downfalls limit me on the pawtential adopters, for the JUST RIGHT type of person I would make a great one-on-one companion.  Maybe a fellow cat hater could adopt me, I’m just sayin!  I am on the hunt for the right fittin’ family and I hope it is YOU! GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter - all of our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, microchipped, heartworm tested and on current on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $200.00 FOR LOCAL DOGS AND PUPPIES!  Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.



IF THIS IS AN OUT OF STATE ADOPTION,  TRANSPORT TO YOU is included in the adoption fee of $400.00 for adult dogs and $450.00 for puppies.  We transport to the NE or NW.
