Domestic Long Hair / Mixed (long coat) Cat

Maya the Cat needs a home

DOB: 7/14/14

Maya is a lovely big longhaired black beauty. She was rescued from the shelter at six weeks old just the day before she was scheduled to be put down. Her owner came to the shelter to adopt a dog, saw the black little kitten that was scheduled to be euthanized, and came home with a dog and and a cat. Maya’s owner recently was diagnosed with lyme desease and her health and lung capacity has greatly declined. She now has severe allergies towards cats, and in the efforts to try to get her lung capacity back, she has to give Maya up. Naturally, she and the rest of the family are very sad to have to give her up.

Maya is a calm, very friendly, and playful cat. She has a stoic presence. She loves people and gets along with the other cats in her foster home. If you let her, she will snuggle up with you at night or in the morning if there isn’t too much competition from other furry friends. If so, she rather find a comfy spot in the closet or on the closed in balcony.
