Windy is a wonderful dog, and we have truly been enjoying our time with her! She is very calm and gentle. She has been a little nervous overall, but not shy or scared of people at all. I’m sure she will become more comfortable as she becomes accustomed to living with us (or YOU!). She is apprehensive of walking on our wood floors, so until she is used to them we have put some blankets on the floor so she can walk around the house.
Windy’s favorite thing (besides being petted and eating) is running around outside! She likes when you run around with her in the yard. She’d do best with a taller fence (we have a 6 ft. fence but a 4 ft. gate, which she is very interested in). She hasn’t shown any interest in playing with our beagle, but they get along with no problems.
She has had no accidents, and goes outside right when you let her out! She is also good in her crate. As long as you give her a treat, she will go right in and hang out in there. She sleeps on a dog bed all night without getting up at all. She has also done great walking on a leash so far. Basically an all around wonderful dog!
Windy went through some rough times (she has some healed scars from getting caught on barbed wire), but you would never know it since she is so gentle and her tail is always wagging.
