Delilah the Dog needs a home
The girl behind this pretty smile is Delilah. She is a 5-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier who weighs 62 pounds. This gal is happy, friendly, and affectionate! Delilah knows sit and is working on "watch me" and "come" with our trainer. She can be jumpy when excited, so she would do best in a home with no kids under 8 as she may accidentally knock them down.
Delilah's foster mom had this to say about her:
"
Delilah has been a joy to have so far. She has adapted well to our household, as we have small children and a male family dog that is smaller than her. They love to play together and get along well. We are currently feeding her and our family dog separate as she did show some aggression toward him when she was eating her dry food the first day we had her, although we have seen some improvement. She seems to be okay with toys and the water bowl, although we keep a close on them during those times. She is crate and house-trained. And despite her big nature, does not jump and has been gently around our children. She is a big love bug who would make a great family pet!"
If you’d like a big lovebug to keep you company on the cold nights of winter, and the warm days of summer, apply right away. She will be ready to go home with you January 28th. Delilah’s minimum adoption fee is $195 plus a $12 fee for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
