Tia the Dog needs a home

Tia is a strong-willed girl (read: stubborn but with some manners, haha) who needs someone to be the boss. She needs some work on a leash but does better in a harness. She is extremely strong and is looking for the right person who is able to handle her. Tia is a low-energy dog who likes to alert staff when she sees someone she doesn't recognize. She has been known to scare strangers with her big bark, but when staff pulls her out of her kennel she calms down.



She loves to go outside and sniff the grass and could spend hours lazing around in the play yard. While she won't play with any toys that we have here, she does enjoy treats and is extremely smart! Tia likes getting all that undercoat brushed away and creates a strong bond with people she loves (which is all staff here at JCHS!). Tia keeps her kennel extremely clean and is believed to be housebroken. Although she has not been tested with children, we believe that older, more considerate children would be an excellent match for Tia.
