Adopt a Domestic Short Hair (short coat)
Daddy Cat the Cat needs a home
Daddy Cat (DC) was originally thought to be feral, until the woman who had been feeding him realized he was very friendly. She trapped him and took him to All About Animals to be neutered in Sep 2016. Because of the comment from the vet "Sweet Boy", we asked that she re-trap him and bring him to us for adoption. So he went to his foster Dec 30 2016. They were right, he is very affectionate and friendly. We took him in to update on shots and had him combo tested. He tested positive for FIV, However, Cats with FIV or Feline Aids can live a long full life. It is Not contagious and Cannot be transferred to dogs or humans. FIV positive cats that live indoors in a stress-free home- need annual vet visits like all other cats, and can live many years without even reaching a chronic stage. For additional information on FIV the following websites are very informative: http://www.catster.com/lifestyle/cat-health-vet-study-fiv-positive-cats-living-together and http://www.fivcatrescue.org/fiv-myths.html .
