HI!  I'M LILY!

I am a loveable English Pointer mix.  I can't wait to meet my new family!  I came from a big family so I enjoy fast paced families with older kids (over 7).  I am okay with younger kids as long as I'm supervised.  I just love playing fetch...you don't get it...like SERIOUSLY LOVE playing fetch.  I am obsessed with it!  I love any and all toys that are stringy or shaped like balls.  I am super smart and I talk to you and nudge at you when I would love to get your attention, especially when I want to go outside-which I might add...I've NEVER EVER had an accident since being with my last owner.  I'm not a fan of going out to do my business when it's cold or bad weather outside, but no worries...despite that, I WILL NOT have an accident inside.  When I realize the weather isn't going to get better, I'll eventually go outside after all.  I won't need a crate when you leave me home alone as long as there's no food on the table.  I'm used to free roaming the house without chewing on anything.  I just typically chill and watch TV or nap when I'm alone.  But wow, when you come back home, I get so excited, I jump and love on you for 2 minutes straight before finally calming down.  I love my belly rubs too.  I love me some snacks!!  I understand the words like "outside" and "let's play" and "want a snack".  When you say "want a snack" I will run to you and do simple commands like sit and lay down and giving paw.

I do need some guidance when it comes to begging.  I love to grab scraps that fall on the ground and I can be mischevious when if you leave food out and you're not looking.  When I get caught I know I did wrong because I'll bow my head and go to my sleeping quarters for a few minutes to reflect on what I did.

I am an awesome guard dog!  If I hear something strange, I will go check it out and bark.  Sometimes I even inspect each and every room of the house when it's nighttime just to make sure all is ok.  I am your second doorbell because I know when people are coming before someone even knocks.

My diet consists of Blue Buffalo Chicken Flavor dry food mixed with half a can of blue buffalo canned food purple can.  It's my favorite!  The only dry food I will eat without wet food is HEB brand TEXAS BITES food when my owners are on a brief financial strap.  (I will NOT eat blue buffalo without my wet food too).

It may work out best for me to be the only dog in the home.
